Bless has settled in!

Bless came home with me on Sunday and has been a little sweetheart! She may be one of the prettiest little greyhounds I've seen. The car ride was without incident - she stood the entire trip watching the world go by but didn't have any anxiety or crying. Once home we walked around the back yard to explore then met the rest of the hounds who were anxiously waiting in the house watching our progress. One by one we met the 4 hounds, got all the smelling out of the way and then made our way inside to explore. Bless is very curious and got to walk the entire house. She proved that she could do almost anything. She went in the doggie door on our first trip into the house with me right behind her ( I was still holding the leash!). She went up the stairs right away, she had to be coaxed to come back down but she has mastered that as well. The first 3 days I had to make her go back into the crate when I left but then Wednesday night she went into the open crate and layed down. Now when she wants to rest I will often find her laying in the crate with the door open. She is still VERY food motivated but hasn't been obnoxious about it.

Bless gets along great with the rest of my greys but she really doesn't care to interact with them a lot. She tends to spend time with me or will go lie in her crate or rest time. She is still crated while I'm away from home, but the rest of the time she is free to stay un-crated in the dog room or the rest of the house when I'm home and it's been a week with no accidents in the house!

She has been a joy to have around - look at that beautiful face - how could you resist?
