Do you see what I see?

Blessing finally discovered the squirrels that visit our back deck. She stood intently watching as the squirrel gathered up all the birdseed that spilled when we filled the feeder. She was quiet, as she watched, but oh concentrating very hard on what was going on out there! See those straight-up squirrel ears?

The squirrel just kept gathering his treasures as Blessing looked on with nose a dripping.

She enjoys spending time with her new foster sister, Kite. They get along well, and will sometimes run together in the yard. Kite tries to engage Blessing in play outside, but Blessing doesn't quite understand it all yet, and prefers to play by chasing a toy (or pine cone, or stick or whatever you choose to throw!) when outside. Yes, that's Miss Princess Blessing on the big fluffy bed.

Blessing loves her toys, and is an energetic, playful girl. She is instantly awake and ready for some fun, but will also lay back down quickly and quietly if it is Saturday morning and time to sleep in! We are still crating her, but have been letting her loose for a short time when we are going to be gone for only an hour or two and she has done fine. Walking on a leash is getting better, she still zigs and zags a bit, but she doesn't lunge, and will potty on leash too. She is always ready for more when we do our short 10-15 minute loop in the neighborhood. But at the end of a good day, it's all about snoozing in some sunshine.

The Frito Bandito!

For all the years we have had dogs, you'd think my hubby would be dog-proofed by now. NOT! And Blessing has learned his weakness - Fritos! We were both updstairs when Blessing suddenly disappered. Hubby was on his way to the TV room downstairs anyway, so he lookd there first. Low and behold, she was helping herself to the Fritos that he left behind earlier in the day. Silly hubby! Now she knows where to go when it's football time too!

Blessing is a real charmer. She can be a bit shy sometimes, but eagerly greets new friends, human and hounds alike. Oh those eyeliner eyes are just beautiful... she will stand for hours by your side if you continue to pet her. She is not pushy is asking for attention, but will come lean on you hoping that you might have a few moments to spare for some lovin'.

She loves her sun-spot here.......................... or here....

She is very social and loves to have friends over to visit.....

She can sometimes be a little shy...

But she loves her stuffies! (but doesn't love them to death, at least not yet!)
And yes, that's her typical look: one ear up and one ear down...and when the squirrels are out, it both ears striaght up!!
